Faux Finishing and Decorative Painting
The term "faux" originated from the French translating to "false". Additionally, the French term "Tromp l'oeil" means to fool the eye. Today, the term Faux Finishing covers a wide range of techniques including decorative painting intended to simulate recognizable textures and surfaces.
Gray Art and Design's passion and collaborative process with our clients means the possibilities are virtually endless. From small murals to massive public spaces, such as the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Michigan, the Memorial Opera House in Valparaiso, Indiana, and Avalon Manor Banquet Hall in Hobart, Indiana, our approach has always been the same. We begin with in depth conversations and preliminary sketches to ensure our vision aligns with the client's.
